Hey Guys,

This is kinda of a mile stone for Music is Now! post #40! MiN! has been up providing hype on music for the last three years even though more than half of the posts are from the last two months. We finally have the momentum we've been trying to build. So keep reading and we'll keep writing.

Continuing on with our trip around the world this month we will be hitting the Ukraine. I am interested in the Ukraine cause of the movie, Everything Illuminated which stared Eugene Hutz of Gogol Bordello Fame. The Ukraine music scene has a pretty colorful array of artists with delightful accents let's watch some videos.

Verka Serduchka is the crossdressing former talk show host who has sold over 150 thousand albums. I will be doing piece on famous transgendered music acts next month so this won't be the last time we here of Verka here at Music is Now! here is her video!



This next one is from Stereoliza who is one the Ukrainian arm of Universal records and is a weird mix of hip hop/pop with everyones favorite accents. Well watch the video and I'm sure you'll enjoy this a lot.



Wow... ok this is the coolest thing I've heard in awhile, Haydamaky. Very much like Gogol Bordello in their mix of punk and eastern block folk music except these guys have been doing it since 1991. Just watch the video and listen to how freaking awesome it is.
